Can I submit an article from my site that's already indexed, to article directories? Will this have any value to me?
Hi TheNeeper, Ask yourself this, Do I want real people to read my articles and come to my site? If you answered Yes then yes submit your articles.
Right, although I wonder if the Search Engines will devalue the page on my site because of duplicate information?
I would suggest you have two different versions of the same article. A bigger, more complete one to show in your site and smaller version of the same article to submit to directories. It is best not to submit the articles you use on your site, always value original unique content on your own site, lest you incur in the “sin†of duplicate content. Only submit smaller versions (altered versions if possible) of the article, with a by-line and a link to your site in the article’s resource box. I have found this to be more effective
I write articles as content to my site, and articles that I submit to online directories. If you wanted to you could write a summary of the article and then direct them to your site to read the full article.
Now thats an idea. You have had success with this? I could see this as possibly being less value to online publishers, and may be reluctant to use the article on their website.
