Article Marketing plus Opt-in Question

    Greetings DPers,

I have recently been expanding my ClickBank affiliate efforts to include capturing people's email addresses with an opt-in. And here is my problem.

I have been article marketing for some time and have built up various niche websites under different pen names. I feel that I could make better use of the traffic on some of these sites by adding the opt-in to them but... What would you put into the contact information?

I can't see that putting the pen name in would be in compliance with the CAN-SPAM. Would you put a DBA company name into the contact?

Everyone does that. You can have your email address like

There are many sites that have done away with the "Buy Now" buttons altogether and just have the opt-in forms in place. This practice will become more commonplace in future. Those who do it will surely have much better earnings/visitor in the long term.

if you have a plan for the email addresses, and people are willing to give them to you then take them.

    Hey,

    Thanks for your feedback!

I am trying to figure out what to do with the contact info that you have to give in the email campaigns, especially your name and physical address you have to state in the footer of every message.

Won't it look odd if I wrote all my articles for a certain niche as XYZ, and now they receive email from some completely different name?

How do you do it when you have multiple pen names and do email campaigns?

Get a company going and use that name for everything. If someone happens to opt into two different lists and notices the same name, then so be it, it's not the end of the world.

I use aweber and it does not show my name at the botton of my emails, just the address. It may have something to do with how I set it up but my name does not show at the botttom of my aweber emails. If your using aweber see if their is a name field and leave it blank if you can.

    Hey everybody,

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my question.

@Mike I am not currently using aweber, but I'm contemplating switching over to them. I hadn't actually noticed that before you said that, but I went back through the newsletters I'm subscribed to and those sent out through aweber only show the address.

Have a great New Year's celebration everybody.
