Hey fellow d'pers, I can confirm I have recently signed up for Article Marketer and am generally impressed with their service and have distributed many articles so far. My question relates to listings and links in the search engines. I have noticed that some of my articles get listed instantly and show say 150 results in Google, however then over a period of day 2 weeks, the results in Google actually reduce to around 30 results. Why is this happening? I know backlinks and listings will increase in Google over the coming months, but how come the results are decreasing even though I know the articles were approved? By the way, if any of you were wondering, I do indeed also click the link 'display the complete results as some were omitted' if and when it appears. Thanks in advance.
Article marketing is still an effective form of link building. When an article initially gets listed on many different sites you may see about 150 results in google then after a few weeks it will be reduced to 30 because one article can only be distributed so many times before it's considered as duplicate content, the article gets devalued for being duplicate content that's the main reason why the results are reduced.
Article marketing is definitely a good way to make money. You can either focus on getting good optimized articles that rank well in the SERPS, or you can just constantly throw out a bunch of articles (still good quality though) and hope they get viewed while they are still new. I haven't had much success with Article Marketer yet though. At least the free version....
