I’m doing article marketing and I just want to learn from more experienced affiliates, how they are doing baclinking... Of course I won’t ask their strategies or something like that but if you can least tell me site that are earning you quality backlinks. I know couple like squidoo, hubpage, yahoo answers but I want to know some more in order to make my articles rank higher. Then when I have some more experience I will do a landing page and rank it offline and online. Note: I already did keywords research and picked the niche, submitted couple of articles and made 1 sale though. Hopefully you can help me out. Thanks Menits
Here are 3 sites each with a pretty nice list of do-follow sites you can place your articles on for backlinks: http://dofollow.info/dofollow-social-media-networks/ http://niceblogger.com/2009/08/11/27-article-directories-that-follow/ http://www.dotcult.com/21-places-to-post-content-with-dofollow-links
Hey Mentis, here is an overview of a few different sources you can get backlinks from simply enough. Simple: forum posting - make posts on relevant forum threads and link in your site with the anhcor keywords you want to rank for. Simple: blog commenting - as above but posting comments on relevant blogs. Simple: basic directory submission - submit to just a few directories which you know will approve your link instantly / soon. Simple: Social bookmarking - submit to a few Dofollow social bookmarking services - possibly the simplest way of getting quick backlinks? (I use Social Marker or Onlywire) More work: If the keywords are competitive or you are losing rank / still not ranking then you can copy your article and post it to other article directories, and in these resource boxes link back to your main article.. you can go further with this by rewriting it a little, submitting it to more article sites, or even using spinning services and submitting to a lot of places like this. Further still you could create posts on sites like Squidoo, hubpages, Blogger etc and link to your main article, or even create whole elaborate "link wheels" of these web2.0 services and link them all to each other in a circle and back to your main article too... It depends on where you are building links to, if im building links to my own sites I do more work, if it is just EZ articles or other external sites I just do a little simple backlinking really. I think you are better off spending your time creating links to your own blogs / sites imo than creating elaborate linking structures / wheels to just get your EZA articles ranked better.. Hope this helps. Dan
Yes I know I should do some landing page, but I'm scared of the results because maybe my landing page will be awful with bad convertions, that's why I want to start seeing some money in my CB account by SEOing articles and in order to get some experiance about SEO before I start doing something bigger. Thank you Dan for the tips. I hope you don't mind me asking you some more questions. I'm sorry this is not in the topic but I also would like to know how can I track which articles made me sales. Also, I read something about pinging and bookmarking your articles, but It's very unclear to me what this means, so I hope you can clear that up too. Thanks ones again
Social booking is where you submit your site to various social bookmarking services - do a google search for "Only Wire" or "Social Marker" - social marker is probably better for you as it will show you the various ones which are do-follow... but again, dont get too carried away on this Pinging is more historically to do with blogging and an easy way to tell loads of "ping directories" and blog feeds that your blog is updated, but you can do it with any webpage / article or whatever - go here: http://www.pingler.com When you create your hoplink for the clickbank product you can add a "Tracking ID" this will show in your clickbank analytics so you can make a few and call them articleA articleB etc or whatever to identify each article you write and use those links... but depending on which article sites you are using they might not accept affiliate links and so you would have to forward these through a domain... this is another reason it is better to link back to your own landing page.
1. Enjoy your writing, use your hobby as keyword. But you have to make sure that it is popular hobby. 2. Use your niche as anchor text only in resource box. 3. Make a page entitled "Free Articles" in your niche sites and build some links to it. You can use article marketing for this.
Hey guys I appreciate your help very much. However I want to ask the article marketers here, how many sales you are making per keyword per month, if your article/page/blog is on the first page on Google? I don't know how many keywords I should rank for so that's why I'm curious, I want to do some math and see how many are enough for me at the beginning.
That's too vague of a question. If you're ranking well for a keyword that gets 5000 searches a month you will most likely make more sales than a keyword that gets 500 searches a month (assuming everything else is constant). To answer your question "I don't know how many keywords I should rank for", you want to rank for as many as you can. If one good keyword makes you a few hundred per month, then 10 good keywords might make you a few grand and so on. It's all about scaling. Start small but think big.
Yeah just browse around and look through some of the other article marketing threads and you will learn more. Petehol's thread is a pretty good one. It's extremely long (83 pages) but you can get a good grasp of article marketing by reading it. Here is the link: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1252152&highlight= Try to read as much as you can of it. It will probably take you a few hours but it's worth it and you will learn a lot if you're new to article marketing.
Hi, why dont you put the url in your signature? Even if you have no website, you can still put the url of your article. I'm still experimenting with article submission. The traffic from Eza is quite disappointing, the click-through rate is not that great, so I'm using it for backlinks purpose. I submit the same article to Goarticles as well, with hyperlink in the text. Even articlealley allows hyperlink in the text, so I make full use of it.
You mean the signature on forums? If that's what you're talking about then yeah you can do that. Just make sure you use anchor text and not just the URL. If your CTR on EZA is bad, it's something that you're doing wrong, not them. A decent CTR is like 25-35% from what I've heard so I'm not sure what yours is at and what you consider bad. Try to work on your resource box and write your articles to make the person want more information, don't give away all of the information in the article or they will have no reason to visit the link in your resource box. I've found short and simple resource boxes perform better for me. For example, "If you've found this article useful and want to learn more tips on how to train your dog, check out my site here: www.yoursite.com"
Guys, have you ever thought of hiring article writers or if you did or doing right now can you share your experience? I mean is this good investment? You'll just need to do backlinks and keep paying your writers . But I'm wondering how much money they are asking for unique article and rewrites, some member here on DP sent me a link of a threads about this topic but I lost it and I can't find it.
its down to luck being able to hire good writers. but yeah, it gets you free traffic after that so its well worth getting GOOD writers to do your articles.
do directories allow to submit the url of an article on ezine? or do tehy prefer only top level domain?
