I have been into affiliate marketing for more than a year now. I have read many succes stories here within this period ,and many sharing their experience of making decent incomes, say around $1000/ per month and more. I need to admit that i could not reach anywhere near that figure and still struggling with a couple of sales a month/week . I tested many niches and products with low gravity and also of high gravity. While high gravity products were disastrous for me , the products with low gravity fared better. But I am nowhere near my destination. My queries to the elite members are 1)Whether writing new articles and submitting to the Ezine and similar sites would be beter or posting them in our own blogs/sites? What I find is that while the ezine views may bring you a few clicks it does not add to the popularity of the site except for the back links. 2) Can we post the articles first in our blog and then publish in article directories like ezine? 3) Is it enough to write a few articles on ezine directories for just back links pointing to a nice web site/blog? 4)Can anyone succeed with just free domains and bum marketing? 5) is it better to have a web site in a niche and update it quite frequently or many blogs on the same product? 6)How many posts are required to get a blog a high SEO ranking? and how frequently you need to update it ? I know some of these questions might seem trivial and subjective, ButI look forward for your valuable help! [/CENTER]
I would suggest you to 1. go for ezine, submit the article and once it is approved; 2. rewrite it a bit and post on your blog or some other article directories. 3. Yes bum marketing can alone give you good sales. 4. It is always better to update your blog time by time. 5. sometimes one post is enough to get decent ranking and sometimes a lot of posts are not able to get good ranking. concentrate on keyword density, competition and do some link building and you will see a raise in your ranking for your targeted keywords. Hope it helps. --AShish
1) Well, if you got a site dedicated for that specific product/niche, then yeah, submitting articles to your site will be better, because you will eventually start ranking for different keywords. However, you can always use Ezine for backlinks. 2) No, that's waste of time. Unique content is the king. 3) Yeah, why not? If you got a website and want to push it up in SERPs, articles are a great way to do it 4) Again, yes! PPC is not the only way to make BIG money 5) Websites/blogs for specific niches or products are the best. 6) This is a tough question and I can't give any exact answer. The rankings of blogs don't up just because of the number of posts. There are lots of other factors involved, which determine your position. In regards of updating, few times a week is alright. You don't really have to post every day.
Ezine has a great benefit of natural ranking very well in Google. Do your keyword research properly, target a good long tail with each article and then send traffic to your site. I make the vast majority of my sales from ezinearticles but I do make blog sales as well, it is just harder to promote these and target tons of long tails. My blogs usually go for just 1 highly competitive main term and I do a lot of SEO to get them to the top.
bl4ckman had great advice... content is king. here's some more tips; -never post the same article on your blog(as your submitted to a directory). if your spending time rewriting an article so it's not duplicate, then just write another article that isn't duplicate. -articles work with repetition, if your looking to create a bum marketing based income, just write articles everyday, focus on submitting xx articles everyday. I would do this; 70% of your articles go to directories, 30% go to your blog. and there's no need for more than one blog per niche. just don't let your blog get too stale. but in regards to number of posts, its not as important as your basic on page SEO. for example, one blog I have ranks in the top 5 on google for a term with over 26,000,000 competing pages, and has been there since about a week after I put it up. yet it only has 3 posts on it! This specific blog actually doesn't have any articles promoting it... But article marketing is extremely powerful, if you do it right, and regularly, you are guaranteed massive targeted traffic, you just have to make sure your sending it to a decent page, but thats another post
Though you are new here, I find that you are a seasoned SEO expert. If you do not mind could you please share some of your basic tips. It is no small task getting a rank of 5 for a keyword with 2600000+ competition. THANK YOU FOR THE KIND RESPONSE.
the success stories of 1000/month you should think more realistic of how they did it and how long it took them for that? some luck can be involved in it if those sources you read them from are reliable then make a careful plan of how you want to reach your goal and be realistic about it,because it would take time.
I will start a new thread on seo soon very true. but the blog I'm talking about is not new. It's there because of SEO, not it just being a new site. especially with that many competing pages..like I said, it's been there since I put it up. after that it will go back to normal??? whats normal to you is not normal to me
