I plan on having articles written and submitting them to article sites for SEO for several websites I own. My plan is to have 5 or so articles written per site, but I have also thought of doing 10. What is good number of articles to write to promote a site? Also, how many article sites should I submit to? If I just get the top ones like Ezine Articles, will that be enough?
You're talking about publishing articles on your site and then submitting to other sites pointing back to yours? Or having articles written on 3rd party sites that point to yours?
I think you should go with the quality of articles. You can have less articles but with good quality it will bring better results.
How many articles is enough? The answer is...one more. My sugggestion would be to start with one niche and concentrate on that niche for a while. Start submitting articles and see what kind of response you get. Remember that you need to give the search engines time to find your article pages and index them. You may see initial traffic as well, from blogs and other web pages that receive RSS feeds from article directories. I personally recommend submitting to more than one article directory. Just think about it for a while and you'll understand why. The best? I would say that ezinearticles.com is the best for traffic/SE results while website-articles.net is best for click-through rates. I have experienced great results by as few as 10 - 20 articles, while at the same time it may take 100! It depeneds on your niche, the competition, which keywords your articles are optimized around and many other factors. Start submitting and tweak your system based on the results you are seeing. Concentrating on more than one niche at a time can get confusing and end up causing you more harm than good. One other thing. If you have 10 articles already for a specific niche, do not submit them all at once. Spread them out over about a week. Respectfully, Allen Graves
Well, it all depends on the niche, but, my personnal rule of thumb is 20 articles per niche minimum...
