It seems that nowadays people are using article sites for bum marketing exclusively. Is anyone actually using sites such as Ezine to linkbuild? Has anyone had any recent success in building links by posting on article sites, other than the backlink obtained from the directory itself?
You get some extra backlinks when people use and reference your content, but the big bonus of an article directory is the traffic. EzineArticles is more likely to be indexed quickly than your site thanks to the enourmous volume of content that gets churned out - that means more exposure faster. If you're smart, you can attract high click-through rates of visitors who are already pleased by your content and want to know more about the topic at hand. I find EzineArticle referral traffic will do far more for me than search engine traffic, even from Yahoo.
I get some great traffic from ezines, and a lot of links back through other article sites when various websites republish the articles.
Yes. Article marketing can really generate some good traffic. It might take some time, but it is worth it in the long run. Post an article or two a week, to several large and medium article directories and you should see a steady increase in traffic to your site
If your aim is to look for a solid link building strategy then article marketing is the right thing for you. For example if you submit just one article to 20 directories and it gets approved for publication, you will receive 20 back links for your site. With many directories having a high page rank, getting these links setup will give a big boost to your marketing strategy.
article marketing can help bring some traffic and obtain some links, but it is one of many things you should be doing to increase your search engine rankings and traffic...
