Thanks for the interest guys, much appreciated. I'm about to head out for the day, but I'll post a proper update later tonight.

In short though -- I've made 2 sales since my last update. :)

I follow this thread since the beginning however its seems that almost everybody is sending their articles to ezinearticles.com however what is your experience with sending articles to associatedcontent.com as far as i know only people who live in the United States can get a payment from them but is it worth to submit your articles to ac.

And what about youtube they have an alexa rank of 3 at this moment
Anybody has experience with sending your articles in a kind of video format or slideshow if possible?
Of course i will test it out my own but it would be nice to get some feed back from member here.

AssociatedContent.com nofollows their resource links. The main reason I do article marketing is to get backlinks to my sites so for that purpose it's a waste of time. They are also very particular about what they publish.

I will say you can make a little extra cash from Associated Content as well which is nice and you can get some quality traffic from the articles you put up. So if you don't care about the backlink aspect for some reason then this may be good choice.

I think your YouTube idea is pretty interesting. I think a spoken word version of a particular well written article could do well just with any sort of image up. But perhaps even better if main ideas from what you are saying come up as sort of bullet points or with pictures as an example. Perhaps this is what you mean.

Of course YouTube outgoing links are nofollowed but you could get some nice traffic from it.

Still only 2? Well, I guess it's better than none, but a bit disheartening.

Building an opt in list while doing article marketing is a better idea, now you've basically lost all the possible costumers

Great thread, Pony. One of the best "live" experiments on DP. It's a LOT of work at first planting all the seeds but you will be able to sit back and enjoy the benefits for hopefully a long time ... without ANY work :)

    Thanks for the comments! :)

I really do apologize for the lack of updates. It was more laziness and lack of motivation on my part to do anything article marketing related. After going at it (though probably not as intensively as I should've) and not seeing good results like others are getting, you sort of get discouraged and wonder if all the time you spent was worth it. I promise that the lazy spell has ended! ;)

    Day 61-75 - October 31st - November 14th

I reported yesterday that I had received 2 sales since my last update. I came home last night to see yet another sale, so total sales are now 5 and amount to $82.17. One sale was from my opt-in list and the others were directly from the landing pages themselves.

It should also be noted that my newest page designed to collect opt-ins is now receiving a "healthy" 5 opt-ins a day, but no sales from it yet. Keep in mind that I have only 3 articles promoting the site, so I think I'm doing pretty well with it so far. :)

so your finally starting to see results.. thats good stuff, if you keep at it for another few months you should multiply your results.. 5 optins a days isnt bad either

Some tips if you are using articles to promote affiliate products:
(In fact you can use this method for any traffic promotion)

To really increase your conversion you need to build a sound
relationship with your subscribers. By doing this I significantly
    increased my sales ratios.

After they signup let them download a free report. You can
also send them a free five day email course of value and include
a P.S. with an offer to an affiliate product.

You always need to keep your subscribers on their toes.
Send surprise gifts, feedback mails, newsletters and
promotional emails. Always keep them guessing. I know
average an affiliate sale from one in 13 to one in 30
depending on the price and sales page of the product
    that I am promoting.

Usually if I find a winning email I add it to my autoresponder
    message series.

Now that sound a lot better than the one sale you were at for a long time. It seems having an opt-in form does good to business.

Pony are you still writing articles on a daily basis? From what it sounds like you have slowed down... my question is are you seeing consistent traffic from them or has that decreased?

This is an amazing post! I think another angle to making money from this is to consider coaching this tactic. Obviously a substantial fee should apply to this but there are people out that will pay a minimum 3k for phone sessions on such techniques.
