Just saw my results for a recent article....I have number 3 & 4 position in Google for two of my articles, without quotes there is 11 million results, with quotes I am 1 out of about 1,000. The articles were submitted to ezine articles....and I got that position in less than 24 hours. Now that You know the situation, My question is...is there a way to get more of the first page spots? I know I can get 2 through E-zinearticles.com, but I can't figure out how to get more. None of my other article submissions ever make it past the 3rd page (article dashboard, goarticles, etc.) My goal is take take every 1st page spot of the google search results. It may be a high goal to reach, but I have 3 of the 10 spots so far, so only 7 more to go. Also, what is the significance of having the number one result with quotes "" ? Does that just show the competition I am the current best? or does it bear any other impact? Okay, any advice and comments would be great? And I would love to hear your experience from article marketing and the type of traffic you get from having a 1st page result. Thanks.
Hi, to answer your questions. 1. You can target longtail keywords to hit more first page spots but I advise you try for different keywords. Spread your net and do not focus only on the same keywords. This way, you get more traffic. Try extensions of 3 or 4 words. 2. " " quotes only tell you that the search result contains the relevant keyword searched. It does not tell you the full competition you face. A more accurate check will be allintitle:keyword because webmasters who really do proper SEO, ie your real competitors will optimize their titles.
Okay thanks. yeah I plan on targeted a wider audience with my keywords....but first I need to get platinum. I applied for it (wrote 10 articles so far) and I am now waiting for approval. Been 2 days so far.
