Quick question on article marketing and distrubition. Should I write 1 article and submit it to hundreds of directories or Should I write 1 UNIQUE article for each directory? Thanks
Consider writing one really good article and post it on your own website. Why give the article directories the good keywords and content, why not keep it for yourself?
Thanks for the advice, that is what I usually do, how ever I think there are regular people visiting this article directories looking for info, so I can provide a free article to the directories and send some traffic to my site.
because the article directories have more authority and high rankings in search engines and the backlink(s) in the article resource will be good for SEO as well as traffic for his site.

Sorry I forgot to answer that. It is always better if you have 1 unique article for each directory. Sending the same article to many different directories could lead to duplicate content, so the backlinks in your resource box will have lesser value
The article directory homepages might have high rankings, but when you post an article to them they give you a new page with a pagerank of 0. While it does help to create a few backlinks to your site, I would suggest better ways of obtaining them.
The value (at least for me) is not just seo, like I said people go to this directories and make searches looking for information, when they make a search, read my article and see the author link they usually go to my site for more information. The seo stuff and links is just a bonus.
Well if that's your goal then definitely submit unique content to each directory. What you are trying to do is market your knowledge and brand yourself as an expert in your field. To that aim you always want to publish good, unique content to build your reputation.
