Article length for optimization

Does posting long articles for a website helps in ranking well ? What should be the primary mesaures taken when optimizing a site?

 

Article length is based on article owner, some of articles accept 300 to 500 words. you can put one link on your article.

Article length DOES matter. Something that is written with only a few hundred words will not be as Authoritative as something that is close to a thousand words.

 

its truly depends on the article submission site...
but i can say that 400 words are must for an article submission...

 

I dont think article length matters, you can check out the major article publishing sites and see what the minimum requirments for submission is.
