I've had my blog up for months now, and it's been doing rather well. I wrote what I believe to be one of my more informative posts yet, and for some reason it's not getting indexed. I dugg it, facebooked it, twittered it, news posted it on newgrounds in my profile, linked to it in a forum post on newgrounds, have had multiple comments on my site from other flash developers, yet it doesn't show up on Google at all. I've also created at least 3-5 backlinks in decently relevant locations with the anchor text "music for games" pointing to the article. I've done a google search for "music for games prince porter" and it doesn't come up anywhere, I'm certain it's not indexed. Any ideas why this specific post isn't getting indexed when all my previous articles have? Here's the url, http://blog.princeporter.com/awesome-sources-for-game-music/692/
Well you post is just about one week old. Google has surely noticed it but hasn't updated its database to reflect that. Give it more time and you will see it on the SERPs.
Must just be a timing thing, Google has been rather busy lately. The reason I was concerned is because it is a week old as you pointed out, and my previous articles in past weeks have been indexed within just hours, a day tops.
Without looking at your website, are you using Wordpress, if so have you updated to the latest version? If so, have you checked the boxes in the Writing Settings? Like I say I have not looked at your site, but just a quick response as busy!
Well, you just got a good link to the article and it should now get indexed. You can still check if 'google webmaster tools' shows any errors.
