Article Directory Quality

I know many of us use Articles as a way to help build backlinks. I wonder if the article directory's quality is a factor. I notice when I'm searching in google, article directories like ezinearticles, show up quite a big in the results while some of the automatic approval article directories do not.

I'm starting to think an article in ezinearticles is worth more than hundreds of article directories where submission is fairly simplistic or approved immediately.

    Your thoughts?

Well, of course the quality is a factor. Sometimes getting a few quality links from established and trusted by Google sites is a lot better and faster than spamming on low quality sites. Authority article directories will not only give you a good backlink they will also drive targeted traffic to your site. Submit to low quality article directories only if you have the tools to automate the process. Otherwise it's just not worth it.

^ well said zexy. Few quality backlinks have more weigh compared to thousands of backlinks from poor quality websites.
