I am hoping to start an article directory but i am thinking if there is any profit to be made in this? I mean i saw many article directories in BST making just $50 or something like that. And most of the article sites i see are of PR3..except ezinearticles, articlemarketer and isnare..and some more..but most of them are PR3..do they face any PR rapping from google??
Article directory is some kind a saturated business but if you have a good traffic, they do make good money...
Content is King! Type of website (Article directory or news portal or something else) will not decide anything. Income depends on traffic, traffic is made by good contents.
Articles Directories Have Good Potential In market. If you have good pr site , more people will submit articles. Google will index more pages, and they come on Google search for many keyword phrases .
I run many aritlce diretories and they do very well. Takes them about 3 - 4 months to take off but if you automate the submission process. Like getting submissions from isnare or unique article wizard your site will take off. It's a huge market. And article directories can be in many shapes and sizes. Meaning, you could have full category sites to just small sub niche article sites. And the nice thing about owning an article site is you can use the articles for your own content. You set the terms of service and privacy notices. When you automate your dirctory via isnare or unique article wizard you also get all of their authors that submit articles and can email them on a regular basis. So it's like a free membership type site. Good luck in whatever you do. Robert rob215
