    Hi guys!

If you have this script, tell me please how is it?

I see that they add hostgator ad on the right side of the index page, is it possible to remove that add and also "powered by" on the bottom?

Yeah and one more, is it difficult to put ads on this kind of script?

Maybe you have some good anti guide that can give some tips?

    Thanks for all your replies!

The script is actually very easy to modify. I am always surprised at how may article directories I see where the owner has left that host gator ad in, but that is why Article Dashboard does that. They know that a lot of users will not know how to remove it.

As for the "powered by" that is encoded into the script - Anyway, it would be unfair to remove that - think of it as the price you pay for using their script.

    Thanks for your reply!

I agree with you about "powered by", but hostgator ad does not look really good. I would better put their link on the top than such a big ad.

Anyway, is there a way to remove that ad. I see that there is a folder called "images", after deleting image - gator, ad still stays the same, hmmm...

You will find the files that need to be edited to customize your script in the templates sub-folder

To remove the HG banner and replace it with your own banner or whatever you like you will edit the indexnav.tpl and the membernav.tpl - these files control the right column. The indexnav.tpl is for when a member is not logged in and the membernav.tpl is for when they are - that way you can present different navigation links for each purpose.

Here is an example of a customization I did for the script http://www.goodcookrecipes.com (does not belong to me)
