A top russian football source said that finally Arshavin become an Arsenal player. This rally talks were the longest ever, what do UK fellas think about it? :)

Yes this is a good deal for both but unfortunately it is taking too much time as both party have some problems of payment issue, as Wenger told in press that he wouldn't change pay structure for any players. I would love to see him in English League.

Yes but we knows it always be difficult to play in England compare to other country and I guess he need some times to set in England like Vidic and other players. He also come to Arsenal without playing too much football as winter break in Russia. I would love to see him in Arsenal team.

That's what I'm afraid about. If you take a look at Shevchenko, he never adapted in England.

Yup, it always be difficult to play in England specially this season as we have nothing going in easy manner, only 5-6 point separated last 10, same condition for 3 to 10 too. He needs to adapted new skills to become a good player in English league.

Oh, man, at the time I posted it, the deal wasnt finalised, now we can officially say this saga is ended! :D

Arshavin did not join Arsenal for money, he was earning more in Zenith, he just wanted to try himself in a top league, thats a good indication that he will play his best (I hope). Wenger is a bit stingy I must say :)

Seems like its the most expensive deal in Arsenal history.

Although he completed a deadline day transfer...

Its a pity the we wont be able to watch a talented player like him in the UCL..

He has played for Zenit in the competetion and hence wont be able to play for Arsenal... Thats bad news!!!:(

yep, dont worry, his contract is for 3,5 years if I remember it correctly, so if all goes well, we'll see him in the next season of CL.

Cant wait to see his debut, he didnt play today vs Tottenham (what a boring match that was apart from the last few minutes :(), maybe we'll see him on 16th against Cardiff.

Would have liked to see him make his debut in a derby, but I guess there wasn't any real chance after Eboue got sent off.

This derby wasn't as exciting as the 4-4 draw they had at the Emirates, but it was good in patches.

I guess after long long time we seen goal less match between these clubs as we always find 4-4, 5-4 scoreline from the two teams.

Does anyone have information on whether Arshavin is going to play today against Cardiff ? I want to watch the match but its really late and I want to know if its worth staying up late for.
