Our membership site has automatic emails that go out to our members periodically. However, spam filters keep eating them.... these are NOT spam emails, they are emails that go to our members only who sign up for our site (and many pay a monthly fee to participate in our site). Other webmasters having trouble with this? What's the future of communication with our members if anything that is automated may be confused with spam? Anyone used "Desktop Marketer"? We're looking at trying to find some kind of "direct to desktop" technology and bypass email if at all possible. What are you guys doing to avoid this problem?
'bout the best you can do, I think, is ask your members to whitelist your address in their spam filters.
Two suggestions. Either use a mass emailing application, I bought www.massemailer.net (But you can use the free version to send 50 emails at once if you like). If that doesn't work, look into PHPMailers, they're what phishers use, so I'm pretty sure they bypass spam filters. Hope this helps, obviously you will need a list of the email addresses for both suggestions.
