Dude, I'm glad that I wasn't born in NY. I used to make graffiti on my desk until the desk is full of them. I wasn't aware that it's a punishable offense...

 

Even kids can no longer be kids in this country and make little mistakes or they will be punished by the law! This is ridiculous. What have be become.

 

The little brat deserved it for defacing school property. More displine and maybe they would learn something in school.

 

I think you need a little "defacing" to sort that screw loose of yours.

 

If i were the childs parent, i would sue the school for the problems that it gave them.

This is bullcrap. If it was like that in the UK I know that every single child in my school would have been arrested by now. Its just insane.

Defacing school property is a pretty serious offense. My tax dollars pay for those desks. I would expect the same kind of respect for that school desk from a young lady that she would have for her own personal property.

13 is old enough to understand right from wrong. I'm sure this put the scare of her life into her... If this was done to more kids early enough they might actually learn a lesson and get back on the straight and narrow.

The US is not a dictatorship. If it was, she would have had her hands cut off as a result. Instead she is learning a valuable lesson without loss of limb, life or liberty.

 

Brilliant.. Sue the school.. You might as well sue yourself and your neighbors as well. Where do you think the funding for the school comes from?

 

That is karazy shit. And a total waste of tax payer money. Detention or suspension would have been appropriate, save the handcuffs for when they actually need them and quit paying cops to be babysitters.
