My old directory www.arielis.com is now an authority directory (if you define an authority site as one that features Google site links). Strange, I have'nt changed anything recently or promoted it any. I hope that it sticks.
it all depends your site structures and visitors. when google thinks your site is useful, then google starts get your web site algorithm and shows the best result for visitors . I have many web sites, but only two of them shows the search results like yours. I have tried my another web sites, but I couldn't get the same results, because of less visitors. congrats
Has something happened since you posted? I just went to look and it wasn't even listed first for its own url? http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=www.arielis.com&meta=cr=countryUK|countryGB That was from the uk, it did when from google.com but it doesn't show like other 'authority' directories. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=www.arielis.com Could it be different datacenters?
Search again. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=arielis+web+directory don't use the url as the search term
Well, if you strip off the GB country code paramater it does show up first: http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=www.arielis.com Right now, it looks like the site links only show up for "arielis" and "arielis web directory" searches.
been a bit busy with work and stuff. not much involved in directories anymore but it is still intersting to check out what is happening here. always, how are your directories coming along?
Congratulations mate. It seems Google has given the status to many sites & directories. At present I am checking all the directories on my database - and there are many of them. Once I update my list, I'll do blogposts.
I'm wondering if this isn't going to blow up in google's face though because just like PR when people worked out how to get listed the way these sites do it will be almost impossible to show them all like that. I'm fairly certain that I know how they do it but not letting on so as not to spoil the fun, and beside, I won't know if I'm right until my test is complete, then I might let the cat out of the bag.
