Okay, here is what has happened. Basically I sold some blog posts for around $80. I withdrew the money to my bank account and then the guy filed a claim, which they put the money on temporary hold and I was left with -$80. Fine, okay. So I receive a payment today from another person and am back up to -$5. Then Paypal limited my account. Now they're expecting me to resolve the claims, of which I need to provide the refund of $80. My current balance has somehow been reset to $0. WHERE DID THE $75 GO?! I don't have the $80 to pay for a refund!
Your $80 must have gone into your bank account - balance would be visible after a couple of working days.
Sorry I think I wrote that a bit complicated. I know the $80 went into my bank. This was 2 weeks ago and has since been spent. A week after I got that in my bank, they filed a claim and my balance was at -$80. Today I got a payment of $75 for a website which brought me up to -$5. A few hours later and my account was limited and set back to $0. So in order to issue a refund they're requiring me to put $80 out of my bank to refund. Which I don't have. They're still holding the amount which they're claiming on. What can i do?
I understand your situation that your negative balance they covered from your today's payment of $75, am i right ? I suggest you to contact paypal through phone call and let them know of this issue as only they can guide you properly and quickly. DON.
The only option would be to put the $80 back to the account. Unless you can prove that you delivered the item to the customer in good faith. It helps if what you sold is something physical in which you have proof of delivery, invoices and all that to show. If it is virtual then there is nothing much you can do.
