Hello guys I have been on DP for the past 4 months just consuming as much information as possible. I have gotten my sites from a domain name to something that people actually visit. The only problem is that I feel I am on the verge to advance more, but I am being held back.........and thats where the frustration of link building comes into play My Dilemma is the quality of backlinks that I am getting. I submit to tons of free directories daily, as I have a $0 operating budget. The thing is those directories are mediocre and hence I assume mediocre results. #2 Asking for link exchanges. I realize this is an awesome way to get backlinks, however many times the people I end up asking are direct competitors since it seems its good to have links from sites in your niche #3 Articles. I consider myself a very good article writer, but with the duplicate content thingamajig I wonder if what I am doing is in vain. I have gotten a couple of PR3 backlinks based off some of the articles I have written, but with duplicate content is doing this the same as submitting to mediocre directories? With that said I need a solution, I can see the finish line, I just have no idea how to get there. I wanted to increase the visitors to my site from 60 to 600 but it is just not working. What am I doing wrong
Personally I would suggest keep writing quality content, and try to promote your website as much as posssible.
Well if you don't want to link to your competitors...research what sites are linking to them, and what makes them so high ranked. As for writing articles, I personally rewrite an article before I send it to a directory, as to avoid the duplicate content penalty. I use a free service called jetspinner, if you want to check it out. It rewrites them so it reads as if a human wrote the article, it doesn't have a computer replace words with synonyms... And my budget is zero for advertising as well
ok so I have these feeder sites right. I do a mass submit and wait until PR update, they should have some good PR and do as you mentioned? The question though is why do this with the feeder sites and not your main website?
Theres some high pr directories that are free. Alot of times forum pages will end up with good pr. You never know what link you put out there thats gonna end up with some pr.
