Is it a good thing to put videos on your site from youtube or isn't it allowed to get videos from other people on your site? And will it give more value to your site?
I think you can share youtube videos on your site, its allowed. To put it on or not depends on the niche of your website.
I think its ok but it depends on the product sometime you want the client to buy and pop out youtube can make him go on other site or start watching youtube and forget about what he wanted to buy.
It may offer an entertainment factor. I think the type of site/niche will determine what works best for youtube.
Yes, youtube videos help my site. I make all of my own videos - in the past 2 1/2 years I have posted over 320 videos. Youtube is one of my top sources of traffic. Looking at the traffic stats from my blog, the more videos I have one my home page, the longer people stay on my site. I upgraded my home computer last week and recorded my first HD video yesterday. I'am hoping to get it edited and uploaded this evening.
Well I'll tell you, that's how I get all my traffic to my site: YouTube. ;-) Over 1,000 visitors a day. It works.
You are allowed to embed other people's videos on your site, so long as the person who uploaded the video has that feature enabled. Putting videos related to your content on your site is a good way to maintain stickiness. As someone else said, you also have to realize you may lose some of your surfers if they start watching related videos. You should also be uploading your own videos and driving traffic from YouTube to your site.

I think posting videos to YouTube can generate traffic for your website, in most cases its not significant but its still helpful.
that depends on the type of video and the objective of your main site. i have mixed experience myself with YT video marketing. one site is doing good with YT promotion where i get traffic and a few CPA leads but another site dont do anything even though i get more traffic to that site. YT traffic for that site simply dont convert

you tube videos are allowed and can be placed on every site ...... thats why they provide you with the code
If u use youtube video and also adsense together then ur CTR is much more higher then normal. Its very effective.
I think posting small videos on youtube with a small description of your site helps you to get some good traffic to your site. Videos like Which takes not much time but can help you in advertising and bringing traffic to your site
