Do you know that links from your blog to other website is dangerous because it can lower your PR? Rule of thumb: “The more links to other website will lower your PR valueâ€. You can imagine if you have four links to other website on your theme. This will make your blog PR lower and bringing the other website that you are linking higher. Go to your footer and see where it is linking to. If you are using a popular theme, many people would have use the theme and that means many people are linking to the other website, maybe the designer or the sponsor for the website. Check the theme creator blog, you might be surprised to see their high PR. Find out more here
I don't believe this to be true. Matt Cutts has written that up to 100 links on a single page won't harm, if there is a reason... Besides many SEOers would tell you the opposite: that linking to related high authority sites will only do good, and will not drain linkjuice. @w3bmaster ... only noobs waste time flaming threads about things they shouldn't.
This is a bit silly. If you've got to the point of being a link farm, with hundreds and hundreds of links, then your PR, serps and everything else can be devalued, but the idea that just by having a few outbound links on a blog you're lowering your PageRank is just wrong.
Outgoing links wont harm you, Google likes to see a natural network sites hence the term 'web'. Of course the more outgoing links you have, the less the value of each will be, but there is no reason to fear outgoing links. The reason link farms don't work. They don't have quality content and each link is diluted to the point of having no value. I believe altering the link on a free blog template would violate user agreement. If you want a template without a link either pay for one or make your own.
