I hook the laptop up to the TV and it's emulation time. It's fun playing games you've forgotten about for years. I forgot how many crappy games Nintendo made. I mean they made a game out of every movie, TV show, toy they could come up with.

All this time I thought you were my age..After around 200 emails back and forth working on the project and I would have never guessed you were 16

Emulators only give you 90% of the enjoyment...You need all the ambience of the original box and controllers.

Getting the cartridge to work is half the fun

Hodge, my question is this...is your girlfriend actually awake when you watch all of these movies? Every time I try and get my fiance to watch ANY movie, she is lights out well before it is over.

Yeah I know. I don't know how many hours I spent moving a cartidge 1cm to the right or finally getting it perfectly in place only to bump the NES while i was getting up. It always felt like a game of operation.

If only I still had all of my games and my mom didn't sell all of my childhood memories for $.25 each at a garage sale. "Is that all my childhood was worth to you!!!!"

    Chachi,

Yeah she normally stays awake throughout most of the movies, except she started falling asleep in the middle of The Warriors and I got mad and hit her with a pillow and told her to go to bed. (I was secretly pretending the pillow was a chain and she was the leader of the Orphans).

I’m really into movies since that’s kind of part of my career so we watch a lot of stuff. She normally stays awake through most stuff, unless it’s really late.

I think I might know what the problem with your fiance might be. Is she right there next to you while you watch them? If my gf is in close proximity to me she's lights out, because of the body heat, the security and closeness of being next to me. Whenever we watch movies I make her sit/lay at least 8 feet away. Before I did that she fell asleep during almost every movie. Now, it's very rare. I'm hardcore like that.

The coolest thing she said the other day was her response to when I asked her if she liked the Thundercats. She said, “Yeah they’re ok and stuff, but it’s not like they can change into anything cool.” She’s actually hooked on Transformers now.

Yes. I will have her sit in the corner next time. I was thinking about hooking up one of those shock trainers for dogs to her....she dozes off, boom, wake up time. :)

Transformers are rad. What else can you say about them. Sounds like you have a keeper. Warriors is pretty hard core and I would not expect any gf to stay awake through that one. Just as long as she knows what "Warirors....Come out to play-e-ay" is from, she is cool.

She liked the movie she just couldn't stay awake so she asked if we could finish watching it the next day.

I have big bendy couch so she stays on one side of the L and I take the other side.

Once they start to doze off though there's really not anything to do to keep them in it. I've tried throwing socks and underwear, splashing water, tickling feet, pinching their nose close, passing gas. None of it works. It's better to just let her go to bed.

Rob you're right. Snake Eyes could take out anyone. I'm just putting that out there now.

Actually we haven't seen Team America.

You will piss your pants. I could not believe it when I first saw it...I still can't. And, the soundtrack is a keeper as well. :) Seriously, it is out of control.

Warriors? Hard Core? That movie is more a comedy than anything else. Come on...themed gangs? Clowns and Baseball players? It was funny! Although the line "Warriors..come out to play-ey-ay.." is a great one.
