my memory of computing goes like this.... played Manic Miner and Jet Pac on the spectrum... followed by Track and Field.... athletics game (kept me fit) erm...then took a 15 year sabatical and now the only games i play are Minesweeper and Solitare
i've been hooked to final fantasay before. i'm young at heart! but i'm still really young compared to a lot of people here though.
HAHAHAH Oregon Trail was the best. You lose your clothes. You are low on food. Jane is sick. Jane breaks her leg. One of your oxen dies. You try to cross the potomac river. One of your oxen drowns. You are starving to death, and Jane has scurvy. You have no clothes to wear. Jane has cholera. You were bitten by a snake. You have reached Fort Kearney. Jane got sick and died. Mary is suffering from exhaustion. Mary dies of dysentery. Dude. Oregon Trail was more violent than most games released these days. And what about zork? Zork still remains one of the best games of all time IMO.
Age is so relative. I've known 25 year olds who were old and worn out, and I have known ppl in their 50s who kicked ass!
That game rocked my world... I ruined soooo many joysticks playing that game. The hobbit was pretty cool. I can't really remember what that was on though. I think it may have been on the 286 or 386 or something.
Then Nintendo came out with the mat so you could actually run and jump. Of course it wasn't long until we figured out you could make the guy run like a maniac if you used your hands instead
Am I young? Always has been, always will. Played Pac Man on our Philips G2000 (I think that was it's name) way too many years ago, then onto the C64 -> Amiga -> PC (4.77 mHz, 640 kb RAM, two 360kb disc drives, that was the time). Then went on to work in a toy store for about 10 years selling everything from the Sega 8 bit console and Nintendo 8 bit (NES) to Playstation and Nintendo 64 and playing most games released for about 5 mins on average and watching them played for about 10 hours on average
By the way that was just practice. Everybody knows it isn't official unless a ref is holding the chronometer
Those guys look like they should look at a calendar rather than a chronometer. Look at those hair styles
Thats what I would have said...Actually it is 5 years ago (2000) and thats Billy Mitchell World Pacman Champion - Year 2000
Hes Pacman Champion! Like a rock star or a movie star, he doesn't have to conform...He sets the trends!!!!
