Yeah, I hear that. It's not easy having a job and a business.

Having an online job AND school is harder (since school requires out of class work and studying!)

I had 18 credit hours this semester, so balancing my business and school work/exams/social life/etc. was quite a challenge.

But it's the summer now so I'm going with my online business full throttle now :D

What motivates me is when you develop some project and then you get some prospects that use your service/software, and then, they convert into customers. Money is good motivator, but I admin, it's not money that motivate me most. I think it's the community that uses your service. It's the feeling that your are doing something useful for people.

I was waiting for the bus one day, and this young lady said to me. Why don't you sit down? I said, because I don't have a butt.

Yes I have worked my butt off.

Money is not the best motivation... you can get used to it too quickly and then when times get tough... you get the idea.

I too have problems with *daily* motivation. Every now and again I get motivated and do tonnes of work, but on a day-to-day basis it's tough.

DP and other forums can be a time waster, be careful. I like to limit my forum reading to about 30 minutes (unless I'm selling/buying or really need to solve an important problem).

I'm going to try "Feng Shui" to help me focus my energy and see if I can't improve my work/living space and harmonize a bit... no, I'm not a wacko. :)
