I currently use AdSense and Chitika. I've been seeing and hearing that people are making more money with Chitika...as in Chitika pays around $.70 a click. Are others experiencing this?

for me chitila is paying on average between 60-90 cents a click,,, but it also depends on what products your targeting.

It's been performaing poorly for me so far, after 1 day. I'm going to play around with the formats and keywords. They should update their stats sooner so it makes it more timely to play with the strategies of the formats.

I've been using them for about 1 week now. Incredibly low CTR. I'm making around 35 cents a click which is decent. Any other program I might have dropped them by now, but there ads are also quite functional and useful. For instance, if someone is reading a review on a Ford Focus, the chitika ad will show a picture of the Ford Focus, and where you can buy one, best prices, etc. It actually adds content and functionality to my site. That is pretty cool. So the money is just an extra bonus... =)

Slow reporting and non-existent channel reporting is a big pain. But i'm sure the program will get better in time...

I have a low CTR as well and get about $0.40 per click (sometimes close to 1 dollar, sometimes only $0.10) but I think they look kinda nice and can be integrated quite well, so I'll just keep using them :D

I have had some $1.75 clicks.

I started off with a 0.01 CTR but am now seeing over 6% on some sites.

I think the trick is to think of it as a different game,to many people think it is adsense, they just chuck the ads on there sites without any thought of how to aproach it.

Sitdown and think out of the box and your CTR will rocket ;)

CTR is lower - although experiment with positioning of ads and you can increase it. CPC varies a lot depending upon the product you're targetting. I have heard of click values up anything from a few cents to $2 or more. Most people I know (myself included) have Click values that are significantly higher than Adsense for comparative words.

I should say - for me it's not about either Adsense or Chitikia - I find they work brilliantly in tandam.

I have found that my CTR for Chitika is about the same as for Adsense. Although as others have stated the CPC with Chitika is much better on average.

I currently have both Chitika and Adsense running on my site. And CTR and revenue is good.

I agree, do both and play it by ear. Maybe some pages are better off with only one of them while the compliment each others on others.

I agree that it does totally depend on the website whether you will be successfull with Chitika running. Where some sites will definately work best with just Adsense.

The secret is to experiment and see what works best. This will be much easier once Chitika introduces channels.

According to Chitika, you can add a little bit of code to your ads for channels

    ch_sid = 'XXXX';

Just replace the xxxx with your channel name. I'm not sure how the reports show because I only did this today. Even if it doesn't show, they are implementing a channel report soon anyway.

But the fact that I can't check my stats until tomorrow is really pissing me off!

The SID works for tracking but there is no reporting of it yet.. so you can start tracking but it is pointless at the moment.

But once they start the channel reports, I'll be able to see my channel stats from today right? That's how I gathered it anyway.

yep - if you use the channel code now you'll see your stats from today once they activate that feature so it's worth putting it in.

Having the stats update only once a day is annoying - but remember this program is in beta testing and they're working on improvements. Also remember programs like Amazon's affiliate program is only updated once a day also.

I actually kind of like the once a day update - saves me a lot of time in checking in all day to see how much I earned last hour like I do with Adsense ;-)

I'm pretty sure they'll make it more real time stats in the coming months from chatting with the Chitika guys.

My eMiniMalls are earning me from $0.17 to $1.20.

Does anybody know when is Chitika going to release chanel reports for eMiniMalls?
