I have been using feedburner on several blogs for some time. The system is genious and works smoothly. It's helped me gain a loyal audience. Recently I noticed I could integrate my Adsense account with Feedburner to have Google Adsense ads show in the emails that get sent out to my subscribers. I've activated this but the emails users get are not showing any ads, have I missed something?
No, I am not using it. In RSS I just put introduction to my article, it means that my readers have to access my site with ads to read full articles
Its the same, i even active all option, my google adsense accounts is telling me i have started to use adsense for feeds , but i dont know how and where, no any of my subscribers are able to see adsense in their emails, maybe its need some adittionally setup which we are unable to do. Hope fully, any member will help us to figure out any require step.
I prefer not to send ads to my readers via RSS, besides adsense pays crap lately, and I would rather have them come to the site and buy something where I can make some real money, rather than take the chance of one of the ads being a competitors and they never make it to the site in the first place.
I agree, trying to keep the RSS feeds professional, you must not use adsense ads within. After all they will come to your website with full article/ads.
even i dont use it in my blog feeds... but yes once i grow my readers than i would surely like to use it to gain some more money... it is highly appriciated if somebody PM me the step by step method?
You can show Adsense ads in your feed by transferring your feed to http://feedproxy.google.com/. it is basically the same as FeedBurner anyway. To do this login to your Adsense account, click on Adsense Setup in the top menu, choose AdSense for Feeds and follow the instructions.
I dont put any kinds of ads in my RSS feed. I keep it nice and clean and free. This allows my readers to easily navigate my RSS feed without any problems.
I have done it earlier. It will take time to transfer the ads to feedproxy.google.com . For me it took about 10 days or so to transfer the feedburner account to my google account.
