Are you using a virtual credit card? Which one’s been the best for you?

These days, a lot of platforms support virtual cards — super handy for things like running ads, subscribing to SaaS tools, or shopping from overseas sites.

I’ve been trying out Buvei recently. The card gets issued instantly, you can set spending limits, and it’s actually great for keeping business expenses under control.

Anyone else using virtual cards? Got any good recommendations?

(Use cases: Google / Meta ads, AliExpress, Netflix, etc.)

Wise.com for travel purposes, no reason not to use it for ads too.

Yes, I use virtual cards too. They help me manage spending and keep my main card safe. I use Payoneer and Wise. Both work for online ads, shopping, and tools. You can make new cards fast, set limits, and stop them anytime. They are good for places like Google Ads, AliExpress, and Netflix.

I’ve had a similar experience with virtual cards being useful for separating out different expenses. When I recently traveled in Spain through https://gowithguide.com/spain, I used a virtual card for bookings and it gave me extra peace of mind. What I’ve noticed is that most providers let you generate multiple cards for different purposes, one for ads, one for subscriptions, another for travel, which makes tracking and budgeting a lot easier. It also helps reduce risk since you can freeze or cancel a single card without affecting everything else.

Yes, I use a virtual credit card — Revolut has been the best so far for security, easy management, and quick online payments.

You can use a credit card, sure. In the end, you just need to try it for yourself to see what works. Some people prefer one bank's interface and features, while others prefer another. I'd suggest trying a few options at once. Open accounts with both, and later on, you can just stop using the one you like less.

The "try a few options" advice is critical because of provider limitations. Wise is quickly capped at just 3-4 active VCCs, making it instantly unusable for serious ad spend and scaling. You need Revolut for high card limits (up to 200), but their weekend FX markups are worse than Wise's pure mid-market rates. Using both Wise and Revolut is the only way to bypass these limits and mitigate the massive risk of a single provider blocking your funds or ad accounts.
