Are You Throwing Away Clicks By not Doing This....

Ok guys, so today I thought I would give you all a little tip for placing your blocks of adsense ads on your money sites.

Now I have uploaded an image (see below) which pretty much explains where I would usually place ad blocks on my sites. Now I know many of you will have your own methods, however there is a very good reason why I think that placing ads in this area will get you more clicks.

And that reason is, most of the countries in the world read from left to right and always start from the top of whatever they are viewing.

So by placing your ads in this highly viewed area you are dramatically increasing the chance for people to click on your ads.

Also more often than not when you place your ads in this position they will appear above the fold, so your visitors will see them without having to scroll down.

Obviously you don’t have to place all of the ads as they are displayed on the image, just remember that the red triangle is where people look first when they arrive at your site.

Anyway that’s all I wanted to say on this topic I hope you take note, and also if any of you guys would like to add to what I have written here please feel free to do so, after all this is a community for people to learn.

    Catch you later,

    Stephen.

I think this type of thinking is history...

What do you want? you want someone to land on your website and instantly click on an ad and leave your website?

You should start thinking long term and about customer loyalty.

But than again I do understand what you are saying and it does make sense. But I prefer an exchange with the visitor, giving them enjoyable content and have any ads further down the page, so they enjoyed your site and then maybe if it is good content they will recommend it to others, this is a better strategy for long-term success.

    Always think long-term!

I completely agree with your reasoning:

Also, from my experiments with adsense, what worked best was embedding ads in content using div frames and 10-15 px border all around. Intuitevely, I'd say the best approach is making look as though ads are part of the website's content, while also making them look stand out visually just a bit.

I guess there must be one 1 box at bottom as well, because many people left sites from bottom and they may click adds
