Hey... not a big deal at all really. I seem to only notice this here on DP.. prolly because your on decent servers that can keep up with the speed i move the mouse around.. but when i click my username / visit my profile page and click say "Find latest started threads" i get a message / popup message saying "Are you sure you want to leave this page" when i click "no" / "cancel" the popup closes but then when i click "Find latest started threads" again it says "You must wait xxx amount of seconds before searching again" ... I am guessing is because it's using a search query which prevents people searching too quickly etc... but for some weird reason if i do it 2-3 times in a row too quickly (not on purpose)... the xxx amount of time changes... some times it says wait 5 seconds.. other times it spits out a random amount of seconds.. just a few minutes ago it asked me to wait xxxxxxxxx seconds (can't recall exactly how many seconds) it said but it was a crazy amount of seconds to wait.. I do recall this being posted years ago on vb.com as a issues.. with only a few boards being able to replicate the issue.. someone posted a fix for this / solution for this but it created another sql query to work. Sorry not trying to be a pain in the arse lol.. just it's one of those things that annoys me.. i can just log out and back in to make it work again.. just wanted to point it out in cases it's annoying others also. Regards, Darren
I've run into it myself... it appears to be caused by the CKEditor implementation of the editor vB uses (you should never see it on a page that doesn't have an editor on it). It seems to be an issue when you are trying to click off the page but the editor itself hasn't yet finished initializing (you click off page too fast). Hopefully they get it fixed soon.
Cheers Shawn thought it was only me.. good to know i guess.. again it's certainly no big deal. Regards, Darren
