there is a lot of web hosts reviews sites and directories, to be honest, do you trust these sites? in fact it's all of affiliate links and the star rating and human reviews/comments may be fake. which sites do you recommend if you have any?
A lot of the review sites are based off of who can pay the highest for the highest ranking on the site. I wouldn't trust them.
I wouldn't trust those review sites. Most simply elevate the highest payout affiliates to the top of their "rankings", and EVERYTHING is an affiliate link.
I agree with all of you. I do not trust them. I only trust reviews based on personal experience as user or personal research. Worrior forum does not have special Web Hosting section like this forum so this forum is great. Here you can hear members's experience. I visited web Hosting forum at http://www.webhostingtalk.com ,but I did not find them as useful as this forum.
I don't trust any of them. I do my own backgroud check. Many host paid for reviewer to say good thing about them especially H0stGat0r.
what's the value of these review sites? all of us don't trust them totally. we may trust our friend for the true review and experience.
yes, if reviewer has sound knowledge and tested the services than you can go with them. you can see best web hosting here and I bet you will not be turned down by any of recommended hosts. thats because ratting is based on experience and web hosting knowledge
ya i agree with you guys that most of the review sites are not trust worthy. Rather i would prefer Personal experience of my friends. It would be great if one goes for a trial of some selected host to have a better idea about the hosting company.
Yes I have trust on review site. I have personally tried and always recommend to friends "WebhostingMadness . Com" This site provide us true review of different hosting sites. They are providing free tool to compare hosting.
Meh, I hardly trust *any* reviews online. And affiliate links would be a strong disincentive to trust.
It's worth checking out the sites listed on these 'review' sites, but then you'll want to cross-check those providers with actual customers on any of the various web hosting forums (WHT, etc.) for opinions. Finally, search the hosting providers name in Google to see what types of common (live) search terms go along with that provider's name. If you type in 'someinterestinghostprovider.com' and the live results start appending words like 'scam', 'problems', etc. well then...
Nope... the bottom line is I will only do business with professionals, a lot of those "review sites" are just affiliate links. I find that the best way to get honest opinions is via forums like DP.
Nooooooooo, they are paid. it is obvious. Ne careful Search forums with a lot of comments like this one.
i saw a few blog posts using the reverse method such as "dreamhost scam" with full of affiliate links inside...
