Are you spreading yourself too thinly

We have all been there , we start our business full of enthusiasm , we setup a blog , a Twitter , Facebook maybe Instagram and we start posting, tweeting taking pictures trying to excel at everything and let me tell you, that gets tiring really quickly.

And what's even worse is you become average at everything and master at nothing .

I don't know about you but I am certainly not average nor will I ever settle for average and neither would I let the people I work with.
So I am going to give you all some advice .
Take a deep breath and relax .Now analyse your current platforms and work out where you are getting the most engagement.
Which platforms are generating you the most business.
My suggestion is once you have identified maybe two platforms then for the time being you focus with laser intensity on those platforms .

Become the expert on those post daily with fresh content that draws people towards you like a sponge attracts water.

Once you can do that platform in your sleep, then perhaps it's time to employ a VA and of course because you are the absolute master of that platform you can teach your employee to do that job perfectly .

Now you have effectively replicated yourself in your strongest field ,so now you move onto Instagram or whatever your next favourite platform is and repeat yourself .

This isn't a quick process but you are continually educating yourself , increasing your brand without diluting your quality.

And as with everything in life the more you practise and do something , the easier it becomes

    Best wishes

    Peter

    Thank for the post Peter.
I'm currently looking at expanding my eCommerce knowledge and at the moment it feels very intimidating. I feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of topics to look at and learn about. I think I'll take what you've said on-board and focus on one or two areas first. Once I feel confident I know my stuff on them, I'll move onto new areas.

    Thanks again!

This is the best advice and may be worth a million dollars to someone. Stop trying to bite too much off the marketing cookie!
A human learns how to walk one step at a time. It isn't money that you need to make quick, its learning one thing well before going to the next that will make you real money the quickest!

Another tip is to use an autoposting app/extension to post to your social media accounts for you.

Hootsuite is good and it's free.

Facebook should be mandatory since it helps big time with SEO. But when it comes down to other platforms it depends on the niche. Some niches work better on Instagram and others on Twitter. However, it doesn't really hurt to try to get your product out there as much as you can, however you can.
