    Does this question still matter to most of us? I guess in this digital age asking someone if they are single or married is an insult. just my opinion.

    It only matters if you care weather or not your linked or single. As i have been through a couple failed marriages and have a great daughter from one of them, i will stay single as a marriage is just a piece of paper and does not justify happiness. I have been happier being single as there is no one to get in my way and expect things that can not or will not be delivered in a relationship by either party. Im not saying be celibate as dating is ok but a relationship is not worth the issues they cause.

    OP, what an odd choice of words by using "linked" instead of "in a relationship". Doesn't really seem the most appropriate question for discussion on the forums either. I agree with sarahk and malky66 - just seems like a spammy type thread to me.

    I can't even figure out why the OP is interested in knowing whether people here are single or “linked”? (Ha, linked with what???)
    And why would anyone lie in the first place about themselves being married or single? OK, I say I am married. So what? Are you going to ask me about my spouse next?

    Probably this (apparent) teenager hadn't got anything better to do. I guess he was just whiling away his time idly. This thread simply goes to show “An idle's mind is a devil's workshop.”

    On second thought, going through the responses here was a bit of fun, but we have far better threads that are not only amusing but also educating.
