Hey i was just wondering if i was the only one:confused:
but these day all the BigBrother, Idol, Survivor ect. you no the ones, sceem to be getting a bit repetitive.

I think that its time to bring back all the comedy shows that it has replaced and bring back the greats like Seinfeld, decent show that you can really on.

I don't think its as easy as just "Bringing back a show as good as Seinfeld". If it was, they would just do it as they are all about ratings.

There are hundreds of comedies given pilot episodes and a lot of them that actually air. Reality shows only seem to have replace them because they are more popular.

Thats how TV works...A few years ago it was Game Shows, a few years before Comedy, a few years before Soap Opera style (Like Dallas) and before that Family Dramas.

Reality shows will be replaced in the next few years by the next new fad

(Can you tell I didn't bother to vote :D )

Well lets hope they bring out a few more Lost style shows, the ratings are pretty high for it and its 100 times better than reality tv.

I like Lost too. I think yfs1 is right. TV is totally driven by $$$. If reality shows weren't popular, they wouldn't attract advertising $$$ and they wouldn't be shown. It's all about the Benjamins. :)

But who watches them, thats what puzzles me?

I mean i obviously dont hang around in those kind of circles, but i didnt realise just how many dumb people there are out there...

(then again, dont 80% of internet users not know the difference between a google search result and a google ad???? :) )

I usually watch Survivor and The Apprentice so I am one of those dumb people. I have never watched Big Brother or any of the Celebrity reality shows but to each his own.

Same with me. I like those two. I'll also watch the Amazing Race. I hated the last (family edition) one, but usually find them entertaining. I like the places they go to and the petty squabbling the couples do is also amusing sometimes. Those are the only reality shows I'll watch. The rest don't interest me at all.

Yeah, I watched The Apprentice / Dragons Den... but I'm not sure if they count as Reality TV Shows... at least not in the league as Big Brother.

I prefer Lost / My Name is Earl / Invasion type shows - All American 'high budget' ? Almost movie like quality.

I also think The Office was brilliant, I watch episodes I saw 5 years ago, and they still crack me up.

I say I hate them but then end getting addicted to them!

Thank god I'm not in England for Celeb Big Bro or i'd be glued to the screen even though it's a pile of w@nk!

I voted no change, coz I wouldn't like to see more and they don't really bother me that much that I feel the need to vote less.

People hate to admit watching them, but the figures show they are popular. It's not seen as "cool", for a guy to admit to watching them, but they obviously do watch.

I enjoy the Apprentice. I think there is a lot to learn from that show, but I avoid Marta's version like the plague.

i guess we need to lessen them since we are living in a "reality" anyway....those are all scripted, and it seems that they make a reality tv on almost anything now
