There is no perfect definition of being a successful person. It varies for everybody. What is your ideal and state of perfection is different for what it is to me. Maybe I dont like to be rich and am content with what I have, and this is my success.
I do not think any one is going to give you a detailed answer because they will be rich for a reason they do not want more people to bhe doing what they do as its more competion for them.

Well.........I made my money on options trading online. 2008----net worth $20,000; 2013----net worth 1.2 million (with the help of the VA state lotto). the way i made my money takes alot of work but since it's all online it can go with me on my Iphone. I travel the US and go on cruises (I hate----hate cruise internet) but really that's it. I still live in my house that Have had since 2006 and drive a 1998 ford with 160,000 miles on it. So really other than travel not much different.
