I seem to remember Google also censoring serach results in China, So now we have, Google - Chinese Microsoft - Chinese CNN - The Arabs Ford Motors - Adolf Hitler Boeing - China (Since the president visited there as well) And that's not forgetting all of the countries that are run by China. Its not the question of owning as in OWNED.. its matter of influence of China having US corporations like MS. And thats pretty obvious since China is a big and growing market. as Latehorn said earlier, Hitler used Techonology from ford for the development of Germany's Industries. He is more or less woried about technological development of China. On the rate they are growing sonner than later they will be as superpower as US.
That's certainly not what he was saying. He stated that the US press was "more or less owned by the Arabs and the Chinese" we've already firmly established that there is no direct ownership. Apart from a visit to Microsoft from the Chinese President there's nothing to show any influence at all and Latehorn is grabbing at straws in an attempt to look less of an idiot. He made a throwaway post, again showing his lack of knowledge and instead of backing down and admitting he made a mistake he's trowing out crazier and crazier conspiracy theories and making himself look even worse than he did originally. There's certainly going to be business dealings between the largest corporations in the USA and China. It's a massive market for them and is the next world economic superpower, so they'll want to open it up for themselves. But to suggest that the corporations are under any form of control or will do anything that isn't in their self interest is absolutely ludicrous.
I seem to agree with you on latehorns posts, but I also know his english skills are not the greatest and he uses the wrong verb or adjectives quite often, so I tend to give him the benefit of the doubt. I really don't know what to think of him sometimes.
