    Hello people,

i was wondering if there is any need to start practice on html 5 tags from the seo point of view.

for example the tag <artcile> why i need it?

to let google know that the text arrounds it taken from another source so it will not count as duplicated content which google itself know it already?

and do you think that the major progress of html 5 is only for embbeded movies and audio?

    thanks!

It is probably good to learn HTML5, however at the moment I don't see it as being necessary anytime soon. I do see this an other similar languages as an alternative to the slow and sometimes complicated flash :)

I can't see it being mainstream for a long time yet (2-3 years), but as soon as IE starts to support it'll be heavily used before you know it but as developers and clients won't want to support html5 yet until all the big browsers supports it. Only recently ie6 is not being supported by major companies, but this still leaves ie 7 & 8 without html5 support.

You'll know when its here becuase the likes of youtube.com will start using html5 to stream videos, and the iphone will support html5 in the future (if not now??) and flash will slowly die I think.

HTML5 poses some interesting new ways to promote, especially for software developers I think.

I forget where I saw it, but Quake 2 was being rendered completely in HTML5, and playable. That's pretty awesome. It could take those Facebook Farmville players to a whole new level. lol
