Are you racist?

Thanks. For me there is two ways of making fun of people, a nice way and an evil way. It means that when talking to my buddy I can make fun of people of another race when they are not listening, my buddy know that I mean no harm. Then I still am no racist. If I make fun of them when they are listening, thats another case.

I indeed have prejudice in me, but I am not a racist.

Racism isnt taking the mick out of someone who isnt in your race/religion, racism is taking the mick purely BECAUSE they arent'.

I can say I was when younger but have changed my views with a little more compassion these days.

Racism has been totally misconstrued for so long. Racism is not making fun of anyone.

First one would have to define race and thats a long subject. But it doesn't include gays, religion, descrimination against ducks or people with short hair etc.

Its simply the belief than one large group with very similar genetic and appearance characteristics; Asians, Africans or Caucasians are superior to another.



For instance:

this person has a racist outlook to a degree but doesn't necessarily believe that blacks are superior to whites. But I do wonder if the person would find it funny when they hear whites mocking blacks. Thats what bothers me and its my litmus test for racism. If they don't believe it would be funny in reverse then I think they are racist.

It really depends on your definition of racism. I am not racist to any one culture, religion, ethnicity, etc, etc
But I have tendencies in my own personal judgement to be racist in certain situations.

Like I have never dated or would consider dating a white guy (even though I am white), but this is personal preference not really considered being racist I think....

I'ts not weird just am not physically attracted to white guys, have many as friends but that's about it.. Hey what gets me off, gets me off it's not up for discussion
