I was doing target practice, and I was quite good.

It's almost like playing darts, or the like.

Just because you have a gun doesn't mean you're going to try to kill someone with it, you can kill someone with anything for that matter...

I think guns are ok, but with certain restrictions. See no need for sniper rifles to be legal or assualt weapons in cities...and no need to bother with legit hunters in the west.
Let the states figure it out individually...no blanket yes or no

Just because you "enjoyed" firing one, doesn't make you a bad person... Shooting can be seen as a sport, not unlike bowling or darts. It takes accuracy, patience, skill, and precision.

I'd look at it more like the "right to defend yourself"... Now that weapons are this easy to get, they will always be around... If the US decided to outlaw them, the only people that would give them up would be the honest citizens, the "bad guys" would still find a way to have them...

if you're thinking of breaking into someones house to rob them, would you be more scared knowing they're good citizens and have no weapons, or be more scared if you know 1 in every 4 or 5 US homes has a firearm?

I think the fact we CAN have weapons is a small deterrent; but then the greater deterrent is actually having one... And if someone is to break into someone else's home, the homeowner should have every right to defend themselves...

Defend yourself, hunt, collect the antiques, shoot for the sport, hang on your wall to scare away your daughters dates...

Very well said, i was going to reply, but you have said it all.

I did shoot a fully automatic uzi, and i was a great expierience, i am also the owner of an AK-47 (semi auto), I am also a christian, It has never been my intention to kill anyone, however if someone breaks into my home and intends on hurting my family, they will receive a 7.62 x 39 round in there body. It will not be my intention to kill them, but im not going to take the time to aim at his leg either, when he is trying to hurt my family, im just goint to point and shoot

I don't see the need to own a gun, unless you're in the military. That's about it.

If a kidnapper came into your home, and told you to hand over your child, or he would shoot all of you.

wouldnt you want a gun in that situation?
