Are you only paid for clicks?

    In Adsense are you only paid for clicks or do you get some added bonus for impressions too. Thanks for any help with the question.

    I sometimes get $.01 when I get 5,000~ impressions a day. Good for me because I don't get any clicks, but one cent isn't really helping much :)

    If you are serious you will review high impressions with low clicks and change what you are doing. I don't want lots of impressions I want lots of clicks. Hopefully the first will lead to the second. But if it aint workin....change it!

    if you've chosen the "Text & Image ads (default)" option for any of your ads, you would be paid by impression (cpm) for any image ads that run... but, if you're running straight text ads, you're only getting paid on clicks.

    thats my understanding anyway...

    Why not? I use to get some revenue from CPM ads from some of my high-traffic blogs.

    can somebody confirm this? I'd like to know myself (new guy still learning, heh)

    Also, what does CPM stand for exactly? and what does it mean?
