It's like that here - and I recently had this article sent to me that makes me wonder what is happening.
Very wide fluctuations in fact. Some days you will get those more than 2.00 dollars and then you are hit with a less .10 cents per click. Thanks Shelly77
Interesting. I ask this, based on about 40 sites I am running. All are quality sites....no mfa's or just slapped together. I have tediously tried getting good quality links with like-minded webmasters, listed them in directories (veerry time-consuming), had good quality back-links on many, then optimized many with specific keywording etc. Then after all this, it gets frustrating when you see less than two dollars in earnings not to mention coming across articles like this professor from Harvard. Your input appreciated. . . . . .
2 dollars from 40 sites ! How much traffic you receive ? If your traffic is good then your niche might not be very lucrative. I can earn the same amount from my 2 sites getting 400 UV a day.
Initially, this is why I am asking. Several of my sites still are not indexed properly and do not understand why. Any insights as to how to better achieve that would be appreciated (aside form what I have mentioned here)....congrats on your unique views...that is truly great. PS: for instance, a couple of my sites like http://www.cheapcameras.ws and http://www.theretirementwebsite.com are part of this mix....have a look at those and tell me if they are in the search index...or how would I verify this? THANKS
What is your definition of wide fluctuations? A difference of $2 a day overall isn't really that wide considering the change in traffic, etc.
I have seen large fluctucations as well. Some days much better than others - and some clicks much, much better than others. I also have on my site - a site search powered by google - these get the lowest number of clicks but the highest payouts. I am glad that I am not alone - I am new here and new to web publishing - and thought it was something I was going.
Yes major fluctuation is that- Content readers are high but clickers are less.... Bcoz they all know that these are ads. Ans the pay per click has dropped.
Completely agree. For a couple days, I have been observing VERY wide fluctuations in Adsense earnings on a daily basis. I think, some sort of tracking mechanism is being re-developed or an estimated payout algo is being created in Gplex. Seriously.
Sounds pretty interesting. Has anyone seen news on the G-AdSense blog about anything in particular. Btw, out of curiousity, what is the number of sites anyone in particular here, has AdSense embedded on? I'm running 40 URLs total.
Pretty consistent month to month still. I don't micromanage. I do look at trends over the month and evaluate what may be behind a trend, up and down.
The first time I went to your "cheap cameras" frontpage, it had an image ad followed by a Google public service ad, instead of an ad geared to cameras. Considering all the cameras featured - that's going to slow down the amount of clicks you receive. The second time I went to the page, it had a camera ad. Add some text about cameras and throw a Google section statement around it. Text link ads receive more clicks than image ads. So, if your first ad is a 468X60 text ad and your second ad is a 468X15 link ad, you'll get more clicks. Don't be afraid to move things around, wait two or three days and analyze the click differences. Experiment. Your SERPs also affect click through rate. The closer you are to number 1, the more likely someone is to click on an ad. The deeper the page is, the more likely the person searching will be ad blind. You have 63 links (according to Yahoo.) I checked out the first 4 and they were PR0. Get some link love from pages with PR. Your keywords and descriptions on the home page are exactly the same - you need to fix internal SEO. Cameras is too competitive a niche to make that kind of mistake. Your page is slightly wider than my screen, which means the ads on the right hand side are cut off. And what are they doing on the right hand side anyway? According to Google heatmaps left is better for tower ads. While I think your site looks amazing, the template is too wide...IMHO. These are little tweaks that might help you (the SEO is a must fix.) Good luck. V. Dinrock - Maybe 20. I'm buying much faster than I'm developing. I noticed a sharp drop around 4/15, but couldn't tell whether is was a Google slap (my link experiments running too much into the gray) or people panicking at tax time. I did note that 5 days ago, everything started to pick up again. ALL of my sites started getting visits and clicks again. Since I'd dropped from $7-8 a day to $1.50 - I can tell you I'm relieved AND I will never use 3 way links again.
