Are you into Twitter?

I use Twitter and make a number of Tweets and join a number of conversations everty day. The direct traffic it brings is negligible so far but it does increase your prescence and allows you to build up a larger network.

 

I'm just getting into Twitter as a micro blogging platform as I'm really into blogging at the moment. I'll check your blog out - maybe you'd like to see mine at tessrobinson.net

I use it a bit yeah, more useful for promotion than anything.

Twitter is very useful if you use with tactics, It helps increasing traffic but you should have knowledge of require steps. i am using since last couple of months and it is really helpful in getting traffic.

Twitter accounts are useless unless you are a BIG company (I'm talking like coke and mcdonalds or starbucks), a celebrity, or an internet star (youtube stars for example). Other than that, it's pointless. My justification: you use it for advertising your site or company. 500 people sign up. Of those 500, FEW will check it daily or even weekly for that matter, even fewer will care enough to pay attention to yours over their friends tweets or some celebs tweets. It's just not that great a marketing tool, nor are facebook pages for that matter. I'm not saying "don't use them" but i'm just saying, they aren't what they are cracked up to be. NOW, in the start of this post I specifically said "twitter accounts are useless". In the big picture, twitter is a good tool for other things. Twitter applications/ twitter connecting is a great way to advertise things, especially iphone apps or flash games (it's becoming more common that people integrate twitter into their games)

 

I opened accounts 3 months ago. One for marketing and the other for personal.
You do not have time to read floods of tweets if you are following many people.
So i do not think it is effective for marketing purpose.

 

I am into Twitter. It helps me update people of my current state of affairs.
