Are you into Twitter?

I was wondering how many of DP members are into Twitter and if they have made any money or something beneficial out of Twitter so far? More people in Tokyo use Twitter than anywhere else. (source --> http://www.blogherald.com/2010/06/28/twitters-meteoric-rise-compared-to-facebook-infographic/)

Actually it is crazy how many people actually use it according to that infographic.. How many DP'ers r there?

 

I use it for my accountancy business. My username is Domybooks

I have made some contacts from Twitter which have helped me find leads to clients.

 

Did you take part in conversations or what? Can you elaborate a little?

 

I post up company news and tax tips, I also engage with other users in general conversations.

 

I use twitter for making contacts.. I don't find twitter as a converting traffic.

twitter is a powerful marketing tool. I am using it.

 

Well, I use it sometime to promote something and sometime to just let others know what am doing or upto.

I noticed one thing.. there is no option in deve.twitter.com to change application’s “access level”, we have to change it from twitter.com/oauth.

We use it to broadcast special offers and when we finish a web project and it goes live we send out a tweet.

don't use it at all, i find it boring. just reading text and updates from other people. just like sending messages thru text.

 

I use it sometimes. It seems kind of boring to me too. I rarely see anything that exciting or interesting on twitter that I just can't live without. There is a lot of junk or spammy posts for links on there all the time. Usually you can't even tell what might be legit and what is not with all the sort of cloaked shortened urls. Some people claim to have good luck with it though. So if it's your thing and it works for you great.

 

I could never understand the appeal of twitter and as a marketing tool I don't like it either.
Look at it this way.. I have software generating me followers for 4 different twitter accounts on autopilot, but I never read those twits. And I'm going to take a wild guess that the guys who are joining as my followers or who I follow are also using software and never read those twits. Occasionaly some real human being wonders in and clicks on something, but the overall response rate is pretty low.
