Are you interested on sports betting?

Hey guys, if any of you are interested in betting on any sports taking place in Europe, you might be interested to know about this petition, called right2bet. It's seeking to put an end to the EU's current stance of letting countries like Germany, Portugal and Greece operate state-run monopoly bookmakers, boosting those governments tax revenues.

This situation is really bad for consumers, because it means there is less competition between gambling suppliers across the EU, and therefore the odds we're offered as punters are shorter than they should be. If the market was open and free, then the competition would see better value and more alluring odds.

Plus, the poor people living in Germany etc have many restrictions on the sports they can bet on, which is completely against the EU's core principle that consumers should have a free market.

Please sign the petition found at right2bet.net and stop politicians exploiting the sports betting industry for greater tax revenues! Please have a look.

 

I used to do soccer betting...Lost arnd 300$ , den left..

 

i made a bet one time that the giants were going to win the super bowl the year that the new england went undefeated and i won like 50 dollars... i was surprised he paid up

Im interested in Sports betting but just for a laugh.. At the end of the day I always make some stupid mistake or one of the teams wins/loses unexpected leaving me empty handed

I have learned a big lesson by playing betting on sports , i strongly recommend fellow members not to bet on sports.

I bet with my family and friends all the time. We bet on single games, but my favorite thing to do "bet" on is fantasy football. I'm not sure if you'd consider that betting, but everyone puts in $50 to the league and winner takes all!

 

I do a little of betting... with friends or via betting sites.
I usually do it during the World Cups. Makes it more fun

 

I've done a fair bit of back/lay betting on sites like Betfair. After a few mistakes at the beginning I ended up making a reasonable amount for only a little bit of work.

 

I have done sports betting before , lost some money so now i have stopped doing it , though i do manage to bet small money when i'm pretty sure about a game.

It is a lot more fun to watch sport when you have a bet on it. Somehow it is not the money but more about risking money to prove I am right
