Yes i am honest with Adsense too . I never clicked my adds nor asked any one to do so......I think if you r honest towards your own adds.....u will remain with adsense forever
Not to mention all the unlucky people who got click-bombed last year when all they did was go ask a question or two on the official Adsense forums and one of the disgruntled ex-publishers there started click-bombing their sites. I know, it happened to me and my 2 1/2 year old Adsense account was banned but I did get re-instated minus two months earnings and all the time it cost to remove Adsense from my domains then put it back up. Nobody is prefect and that goes for Google. Sorry to the OP, but Google certainly doesn't have the "best engineers", most of the top engineers would never even think of working for a relatively new marketing company like Google. As an ex-IBM engineer, I can tell you the best of the breed work in the Aerospace and Medical imaging industries because there's money and job security there.
I in no way was clicking on my own ads ... after the warning nobody in their right mind would click their own ads. The only way I can explain invalid clicks would be someone that was visiting my site. Also I wasen't saying that Google didn't know what was going on they just wouldn't tell me. I kept getting generic email responses about invalid click activity.
Also most people I know have downloaded the google toolbar, mainly so they can have the green pagerank bar to check sites pr. Googlecan probably check you that way as well, in fact if I recally i had to check off on a privacy disclaimer to get that part of the toolbar installed.
The gsessionid in query string doesnt mean that google have started tracking IP just now. previously cookies might have been used. gsessionid is used for maintaining single sign on across various google sites.
I don't see why google doesn't lay off the ban happy attitude they have and just put into the system that if there are multiple clicks from an ip address ban the ip from seeing the ads and remove any profits made to the site from that ip. Sounds easy enough to me and we all know they have the ability to do it this way.
