Are you going to buy vista?

I haven't heard anything about Vista Proffessional, is there such a thing?
And do we need pro to run internet services?

Edit: Seems that they call it "Ultimate" - correct me if I am wrong -. And the price seems reasonable too, about $200, perhaps I can pay in two three years. LOL

 

I'll buy it, but not in the near future. I must get a new computer before vista

 

I keep digging and no way to get a price as low as that.

I won't buy Vista. Maybe in a few years when all the bugs have been fixed (if I dont get a Mac before that)

 

I tried to think of getting a Mac.
Hard to convince myself to accept a new learning curve.. So I'm still on Win, however agree, installing Vista first day after the launch would not be the wisest thing to do. Buying it now could be a mistake either. It will eventually become cheaper in a few months.

I also managed to find a few deals on Dabs.

 

I'm going to wait a good year before I do.. Hopefully that will give them enough time to work out the bugs and all as I imagine it has lots of them.

 

Same story I've been hearing for many years every time a new windows version arrives: "too expenisve, bloatware, don't want to upgrade hardware, doesn't offer anything, unstable, slow", blah, blah, blah (yawn) and then 12 months later over 50% is using Vista. So if you want to comment on Vista, comment on it in an intelligent way.
Do you need Vista? Nah, but you will buy it anyway....

 

I will only change from XP Pro to Vista if I have to. Currently, I am very happy with XP Pro.

I don't see why I would switch now. And I'm aware that if I do that out of curiousity I might have to spend a night to configure stuff to work properly, and who can guarantee that I won't have to revert to my current XP pro at the end..

Same reasons for me. I'm happy with XP + cygwin (to use UNIX on PC).

Going in with some folks and buying a 3 pack (oem). I have had a 64 bit processer and want to see how it works with Vista.

Im probably going to have to get vista since im buying a new computer and its the newest product so its not worth getting xp to upgrade to windows in a few months.

 

I will still wait, Just launched in India....Guys here say that it still has lots of Bugs & flaws
