Definitely not getting Vista any time soon.

I'm over dealing with computer issues.

Maybe in 3-4 years time I'll get it.. same with office 2007 :D

I'm waiting until Vista 64 bit has better driver and software support. The current x86 memory limitations are the only things slowing me down about Windows XP.

hi..i'm bit off the mark here.....

my pc running XP Pro SP2, i load in quite some programs. recently the pc is lagging, i scan throughly but no virus/malware found. I read the earlier post pertaining to XP with lots of programs will make it lag, is it really the case??

    thank all...

Vista came with the new laptop I am using so I got a chance to try it as soon it was released. Initially I was really impressed with the improvement to the interface and the added features. It 'seems' more secure than previous versions but occasionally my toolbar stops working and I get an error message saying Windows Explorer has stopped working. This is very irritating so I hope it will be fixed in future versions. Overall I still prefer using it over XP which I still use on a different computer.

Well Sportsm0 I've heard horror stories about upgrading so I definitely wouldn't have bothered if I wasn't getting a new laptop.

I won't be upgrading soon. I dont have time to bother. If I need a new computer anytime in the future, it will HAVE to be built from scratch since I will avoid Vista as well.

Vista I would hold off for at least another year. The OS was just wacked in August 2006. Give the techies some time to weed out the bugs. Not sure if this is possible with a M$ OS. Besides after a quick view a bulky redundant program quite the system hog.

The IE7 flaws should speak volumes.

Well, I've just got a new Dell 640m with Windows Vista and it is a refreshing change. It took me about an hour to relearn where the things are and everything so far works great. Although I did find some issues with running some software.
