Hey, thanks for checking my post. How are sales for you guys?
I have my own site, www.guitarsuccess.com

This was one of the worst weeks for me - 2,000 hops and only 2 sales.

Why are my conversions so low?

    Please help, thanks

Do you think that 2,000 hops traffic is a targeted one?

Some affiliates dont care about this, they would prefer future sales from these 2,000 hops. Maybe it will bring you 10 sales per day from these hops.

    1. use as many keywords as possible
    2. advertise all around the world
    3. bid from 0.01 to 0.05
It is a good way for your future sales.

It sounds like the targetting needs to be improved for your product. Check the keywrds you are getting most of your traffic from then see which ones convert then check your online rankings for this keyword. If it is not that good improve this keyword ranking with back links to this page with this anchor..

Sounds easy by my small summary, however it takes time working out what targetting converts. Once you work that one out it can really help.. :)

How are you sending traffic to this site? If it's ONLY ppc, then I suggest you use the demographic feature and stay away from the search network.

85+/- is normal....1000/sale is really bad. PPC & CB === bad also.

Thanks for your replies! What's the best way to get targeted traffic? I'm thinking the usual blogs, forums, etc,
but anyone have any good recommendations or sites...for targeted traffic?

I'd say about 1/3 of my visitors are from traffic networks saying it's targeted.

Any other ways I can increase conversions? What do you think of the site?
    It's www.guitarsuccess.com thanks

Its going to be the 80/20 rule here too... 20 percent of your affiliates on CB will bring you 80 percent of your sales.
It sounds to me like the other 80 percent of your affiliates aren't using targeted traffic. I know cases where some affiliates actually buy traffic and hop it to your website in the hopes that it will bring them commission, but again targeted traffic won't ever convert.

GerogR. - I usually am around 125+/- on average... what are you selling on CB?

bizjam55 - Best way to get targeted traffic is using any PPC network like Google or even AdBrite will target your traffic fairly well...

What you need to do is figure out what your demographic is, once you find out who, how old, what country, and what their general interests are, then you can look for targeted traffic using those demographics.

After reviewing your website here is what I suggest:
    1. narrow down your demographics
    2. find about 5 websites that either a. sell guitars or b. sell guitar music or c. have anything to do with guitars
and buy an advertisement or sponsor the website! That will bring you HIGHLY targeted traffic that should convert very very well!

Another thing you could do is find a local music store and see if they would let you post a banner or poster somewhere in their store about your website. That would defiantly bring some good traffic in too.

Just my 2 cents... but that is exactly what I would do.
    Hope I helped! :)
