    I've found that training for something like a marathon works really well for losing the weight. It keeps you motivated at least up to the point when you're done running in the event.

    I was really thin. I like physical activity. Broke my back. Could not walk. My ass got big. trendy in a dance crowd kinda way. Then two back surgeries I can start running again....soon. So I will watch from the sidelines..and catch you next year when I can out run you all!

    Yeah, after Christmas would be great, the only problem being for those who live in the colder places that can't go for a run to shed some weight.

    I guess they can always clear some paths from the snow!

    The marathon thing is interesting.

    Pity we're scattered all over the world otherwise a DP members' marathon would be interesting and highly motivating!:)

    Who remembers Bob Geldof (now sir!) organizing that event in which in many towns around the world people were running a marathon for charity at the same time, it was called Run the world or something like that, back in the 80s.
